2014-05-01 01:41:25 Sam Laird

This story is brought to you by the year 2014, in which everything's a meme and anything can be a marketing ploy. The Toronto Raptors are giving away lint rollers at their Wednesday evening NBA playoff game against the Brooklyn Nets, ending (we hope) an eight-day saga that began when Drake — yes, that Drake, which we'll get to in a minute — used one of the sticky cylinders to brush some dirt off his shoulder lint off his pants at a game last week. So he was at the Raptors-Nets game on April 22, when NBATV cameras caught him courtside, vigorously lint-rolling his right leg (starting from the top and rolling downward, for the record). 2014-05-01 01:30:17 Bloomberg

When Darren Huston , chief executive officer of the Priceline Group , has a decision to discuss with one of his managers, he often heads outdoors for a walking meeting, away from the hubbub of his open office in Amsterdam. "Walking clears my brain," he said. President Barack Obama understands. He often ends his working day, especially now that the weather is warmer, by walking around the White House grounds with his chief of staff, Denis McDonough . While conferring about the latest political and policy issues, he strides several laps on the asphalt loop around the South Lawn before joining his family for dinner. Read more... The former high school teacher was convicted of one count of sexual intercourse without consent in August — the judge at the time sentenced him to 30 days in jail. 2014-05-01 00:45:58 Andrea Romano

Imagine if your favorite arcade games could hang in an art gallery Artist Adam Lister combines the art world with the video game world by taking famous paintings and images from pop culture and painting them as 8-bit graphics. Lister begins with familiar pieces like Van Gogh's Starry Night or da Vinci's The Last Supper and transforms them into flat, angular shapes — all in stunning works of watercolor.
